Situated in the picturesque foothills of inland Canterbury is a 3000ha, third generation farming property. This extensively developed land has been in the family since 1973, farming sheep, cattle and deer in an ethical and sustainable manner.
The family also enjoys hosting corporate events, including international guests, farming delegations, conference visitors, business groups and local community groups.
Sleeping up to 14 people, the comfortable, yet rustic and warm Quartz Hill Farm Stay is surrounded by natural beauty, including the High Country & Southern Alps.
Warm and well set up for families, large or small groups, as well as business conferences, our Shearers Quarters has a large living space loaded with amenities for a comfortable stay. Four spacious bedrooms with 2x King Singles, heated towel rail, vanity, and luggage racks in each room, sleeping up to 8 people.
There are also three separate sleep-outs (10 meters from the main building), each with a King Bed, sleeping up to 2 people per hut (6 people altogether). Sharing the great amenities with the Shearers Quarters you can have up to 14 people here. When you book you have access to all spaces!
The perfect ingredients for a peaceful destination, yet the active relaxers can also enjoy the many activities the station & local area has to offer.
The 3000ha country station boasts 3 main Private Tracks, 3-5hrs long, as well as easier rides along the flats catering for horse-trekking, biking & walking – with an added bonus of being close to the ski fields.
